As you can see, Alex wasn’t in top shape for Caleb’s birthday party last week. Poor little guy. Today the doctors have decided that his appendix burst, and as I type, he is in surgery at the Children’s Hospital in Oradea. There are days that I deal better with the fact that God has placed Alex in a family other than the twosome of Caleb and I. Today is not one of those. My heart aches for him and for whether or not the doctors are doing their job correctly in the surgery room. I did see him this morning before he left for the hospital and I was able to hold him and tell him everything will be alright. Please pray for the surgeons to have integrity in their work, which can be a problem here, as well as that the nurses and follow up doctors during his hospital stay (after surgery) would be the same. That they would be kind to him and not ask for money on the side in order to do their normal job. Such a problem in this country and it is so sad that bribing is just medical culture here. Also pray that his foster Mom and Dad would have strength to deal with all of this, as well as take care their house full of other little ones!
