Usturoi – Garlic

The kids we work with, when they were younger, always mixed up the words “usturoi” and “ustura.”  Usturoi is garlic.  Ustura means “it burns.”  When they would eat spicy food we’d hear cries of “USTUROI!  USTUROI!”  Ha.  Still makes me smile today.  “GARLIC!  GARLIC!”

On to the point of this post.  Dad, guess what I found at the market today?  Yup, she was there.  She sure was.  You know what else?  She raised her price.  Sneaky lady.  Instead of $1 I had to pay $1.67.  I got one for you.  I’m going to try to send it.  We’ll see if it can sneak by customs!!  Are you excited?
