When Alex is happy he is H-A-P-P-Y. Even as a baby those of us who worked with him noticed how happy he was, all the time. Now, at age 6, he has hours of fits, arching his back in anger, throwing himself onto his stomach on the ground while grabbing his feet to come up over his ears…rocking, screaming. So yes, he can get angry, too. But, on the other hand, his joy…oh his joy. He is so easily pleased and so easily impressed and so easily overjoyed.

Yes, it’s true, Alex received a dump truck with working wheels that turns into a phone and makes construction noises and has a light that flashes when you take a photo and makes me suddenly have epilepsy 🙂 I found it at Target in June and somehow had the willpower to wait until Christmas to give it to him! He loves it, LOVES it. The blinding flash, as Alex takes the 459th picture of me, is so worth it!
